Performance anxiety reduces your ability to create. So reducing your anxiety betters your creativity.

But anxiety is a tough one to solve. Fortunately, some new research suggests that writing down your fears measurably reduces your anxiety.

A group of students were told to write down their specific anxieties regarding an exam. When they actually took the exam, they did significantly better than the students who didn't. The 'writers' also showed improvement from a previously taken test where they didn't write down their anxieties.

Therapists tell you to do it, self-improvements books too. Maybe there's some truth in it. Surely it's worth trying out before your next creative endeavor.
